An Artistic Legacy
Born in Taubaté, Brazil, Mariana Elsas was destined for a life in the arts. As the daughter of painter Therezia Elsas and granddaughter of the renowned Harry Elsas, her childhood was a canvas of creativity. It was Harry who first recognized her natural gift, noting she had “rhythm in the blood”—a prophecy that has defined her life’s work.
Bohemian Rhythms of São Paulo
Mariana began her professional journey at age 15 on the coast of Santos, eventually moving to the heart of the Brazilian music scene: São Paulo. While studying Language and Literature at the University of São Paulo (USP), she immersed herself in the city’s legendary bohemian nights, refining her craft in the traditional samba and bossa nova bars of the western region.
A New Chapter in Europe
Today, Mariana calls the Netherlands home. After years of collaborating on local projects and tributes—such as her work with Tribute to Gal Costa—she is now focused on building her European career. With a voice that is both powerful and deeply personal, she continues to bridge continents through the universal language of music.
